  • Once your booking fee is paid, your request is sent to available babysitters in your area.

    Most bookings are accepted within minutes to a few hours. If not, we’ll re-release the booking to increase visibility and improve the chance of a match.

    Tip: Booking in advance gives you the best chance of securing your preferred sitter.

    While we do our best to fill every request, availability is not guaranteed. If you're unsure, feel free to contact our team — we're here to help.

  • Yes! When placing a booking, you can request a specific babysitter — especially if you’ve used them before.

    If they’re unavailable, the booking will automatically be sent to our wider network of vetted babysitters to help ensure your request is filled.

  • Yes, we do!

    You can:

    • Book an overnight babysitter directly online

    • Or submit a nanny job request for ongoing or extended overnight support

    Our consultants can help guide you toward the best option for your family’s needs.

  • Your child’s safety is our top priority.

    All Rockmybaby® babysitters go through a multi-stage vetting process, which includes:

    • A personal interview

    • Police checks / Working With Children Checks

    • Verified references

    • ID verification

    We also rely on ongoing feedback from families, which helps us uphold the highest standards of care.

  • For safety and quality of care, we recommend:

    • Maximum 4 children per babysitter

    This may vary depending on:

    • The ages of the children

    • Any special needs

    • Whether a parent or guardian is on-site

  • Yes, some babysitters can provide transport — just make sure to:

    • Include this request in your booking

    • Confirm that the sitter has a full driver’s licence and a roadworthy vehicle

    If transport is required:

    • Fuel charges may apply and will be added to your final invoice after the booking

    • You can also offer a travel allowance (especially for remote areas or holiday homes) in the “Special Requests” section of your booking

    • You pay the agency booking fee upfront to activate your booking

    • Once the job is complete, your babysitter logs their hours

    • You’ll receive a notification to confirm the hours, and payment is then automatically processed via your saved credit card

  • If you cancel:

    • More than 3 hours before the start time: No additional charge

    • Less than 3 hours before: You’ll be charged a minimum 3-hour fee, which goes directly to the babysitter for their time

    Please try to notify us as early as possible — we understand that life happens.

  • Once a babysitter accepts:

    • Their profile is emailed to you for review

    • They’ll call you within 24 hours to introduce themselves and confirm any details

    • After the booking, you’ll be prompted to review and confirm the hours via your dashboard
